Anyone who wishes to work in private security in the UK would need to first get licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). That permits you to legally take up security jobs and proves to the employers that you’ve completed approved training while also passing background checks. Without it, you won’t be able to work as a door supervisor, security guard, or CCTV operator.

Yes, G Security’s courses are completely accredited by SIA-approved awarding bodies (Highfield, Pearson Edexcel, and City & Guilds). Once you finish our training, pass a small exam, and get approved for your SIA license, employers across the UK would deem you qualified for security roles.

Once you’ve finished the course and passed the exam, you can move on to applying for your license. The process usually takes 7-10 days. So please plan accordingly.

You’ll be qualified to work in pubs, clubs, events, retail security, and corporate settings. Many graduates go on to roles like Door Supervisor, Security Officer, Event Steward, or Concierge.

Entry-level security roles usually pay between £12–£15 per hour. But once you’re more experienced, your earning potential may go up to £25 per hour. Most of our learners were able to recover the cost of the course in just 10 days once they started earning.
